So, you want to see my elopement photography pricing? The first thing you should know about elopements is that they are awesome. And secondly, they are for everyone! If you just want to have a blast together on your marriage day, you can and should elope in a way that feels personal and exciting to you both by incorporating activities that you love. If you want to decide on the place you’ll say your vows when you get there.. you can! The value of great elopement photography is preserving the entire story of the day you got married. Not just the pretty scenes, but every emotion and moment. Your unique brand of mutual weirdness. It’s your day and you can do whatever you want with it.

So, what would your elopement day have to include?

An adventure by jeep on a dirt road up a mountain pass? A picnic, a cook out, a private chef or a favorite restaurant? A sunrise hike through the quiet forest to an epic vista or peaceful lake? Chartering a boat up Lake Powell to explore secluded canyons? A doors-off helicopter tour of Kauai to a waterfall? Use the sample timelines below to start imagining your dream day and see which of my packages will suit you!

You dumped the wedding because you want to do fun stuff instead.. so do ALL the fun stuff!!

BEFORE YOU ELOPE

Think of me as your fairy godmother of planning. There’s no stress when you are free from obligations, and adventure means something different to everyone. I want you to have the best day, and I’m going to guide you every step of the way. Beyond my extensive location guidance, I help connect you to local vendors, unique accommodation and activities. I’m in your corner and I make it happen for you.

YOUR DAY

I come prepared, with a bit of cat hair added on for flair. I document all the fun you’re having as your day unfolds. As a certified dork myself, I create an atmosphere where it’s easy to feel comfortable being yourself. Shenanigans, unplanned moments, and authentic candids are my favorite. Great photos come from great moments and I make sure there are a lot of those.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

After you’ve had the best freaking day ever, you’ll be married! And you get a set of sneak peeks within 48 hours. When you see your complete gallery, you’ll be amazed at how much each photo transports you back to every emotion you were feeling. It’s truly like a time machine for you to remember your day by. You’ll be so excited to share your experience with everyone in your life, and ordering an album is optional.

MORE
ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER.

First of all please know that I don’t have it together. If you do have it together, please let me know how you do it.

I’m nomadic. I live everywhere and nowhere in the west. California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming are my playground. Unless I have to fly to your location, travel fees are covered. I love being able to pass this savings on to my clients.

I’m not a through hiker nor am I super interested in summits. I love to explore and take my time. National Parks are awesome – and so are the lands outside of them. Let’s explore the next place together.

TWO DAY ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

For those of you that want to have your cake and eat it. Consider a two day elopement to include your favorite humans (and animals) on one day, and have an intimate outdoor adventure on the other. If you are brimming with ideas and can’t decide how to get married, this is a great option for you. Maybe the place you want to get married isn’t accessible for your loved ones, so split it up. If you want mountains AND the beach, the redwoods AND a dancefloor – I’m ready to make that happen for you!

EXAMPLE OF A TWO DAY CELEBRATION

Ruth and Will chose to include 10 best friends to join them on an intimate day that started a pillow fight, burritos, and a first look in a tropical greenhouse. Then they headed up a mountain near Estes Park and got photos at sunset. As twilight fell, their friends shared toasts as the couple spoke their vows in the woods. The next day, they got ready again and shared time with their families and a larger circle of their communtity with a second ceremony. Her grandma was their flowergirl and they had a nerf gun fight at their reception, catered with ethiopian food. Your timeline could look completely different!

1.5 DAY ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

This is for those of you wanting to combine your honeymoon with your marriage! If your elopement is a destination for you, you can capture more of your trip experience with this one. This could either be in a location with totally different scenery from your first day, or centered around an activity you love. You could go whitewater rafting, dogsledding or take a sunset cruise on the ocean! You may choose to use this option for a prewedding session, such as an engagement, boudoir, or night-before dinner. This package includes a beautiful 20 x 30 Canvas to hang on your wall.

EXAMPLE OF A 1.5 DAY ELOPEMENT

Micaela & John Michael had a simple backyard celebration with emphasis on close family that were able to be with them. Micaela got ready with her mom and beloved cocker spaniel. John Michael’s reaction when he saw her was an audible gasp. They shared a first dance and dinner on the back porch of her mom’s house, a deck that the groom himself had put blood, sweat and tears into. Then we met up at Bryce Canyon National Park for a sunrise portrait shoot. I couldn’t imagine living without either session we spent together.

YOUR WHOLE DAY ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

I truly believe in telling your story from start to finish. When you decide to elope, it really means you get to choose all the awesome things that YOU love. All the joy of sharing these amazing experiences – you’re going to want photos of it. It won’t feel like a full day photoshoot- far from it! For most of the day I am a documentary photographer. I want to shoot every in-between moment of spontaneity, unplanned goodness, and authentic weirdness that is you two. I offer entire-day photography because I don’t want your day to be rushed, stressed, or turn into a checklist of photos. Fill your day with fun foods and activities that make you grin. A full day elopement experience is for you to enjoy your marriage day fully.

EXAMPLE OF A WHOLE DAY ELOPEMENT

Lucy and Rick eloped with their dog Zelda in the mountains of Colorado on their ten year anniversary. They got ready together, then braved a white out blizzard to reach Twin Lakes. They walked along the frozen shoreline until they found a spot that felt true to them. Zelda raced around as they exchanged rings and laughter. After a snowball fight, they signed their marriage license on the hood of their car and ate “shark coochie” (charcuterie board) snacks. They went sledding, ate hot wings, enjoyed a festival in Vail, smashed cake in their hotel room and ended the night in the snow. Only 20% of this was planned, and I wouldn’t have wanted to miss a moment of it.
