Photo Location Guides for Photographers

Introducing my long awaited location guides for photographers! I am turning all of my location scouting knowledge into downloadable maps for photographers to use on their shoots. These guides are ideal for elopement photographers, but also applicable for family photographers, engagement photographers, senior photographers and portrait photographers of any kind. Most pins have information about access- does it require a hike? Does the road close? Is there a reservation system in place? Is it open year round? – I answer these questions and more with all the information embedded in the map.

My Colorado location guides are the most extensive. I have spent the last 7 years exploring and shooting in Colorado from the San Juans to Rocky Mountain National Park and everything in between. There are 10 location guides just within Colorado.

About me

I’ll just come out and say it – I’m a map nerd. I adore virtual scouting and putting my boots on the ground to scope out the best spots with the best backgrounds. While Leaving no trace, of course – I believe we each have an individual, personal responsibility to leave the land as we found it, and I trust in others to visit these places responsibly. Maybe I’ll see you out there!

How this works – About these maps

Each location guide is a map that you can pan & zoom just as you would on Google Maps. You’ll click on each Pin to see photos of that location and read about the details of that spot. These Maps are accessed by a single email address after purchasing. You’ll have access for 5 years from the purchase date, and any updates I make to the maps are automatically included. You can use this map as a layer on google maps, so you can see these pins while you’re actually there! However, these resources are not to be shared with other photographers, studio associates, second shooters or your clients directly. Instead, use them to position yourself as the expert and recommend locations to your clients that will meet their needs.

Here is a preview of the location guide maps

Every National Park map has details about the designated ceremony sites for elopements on a separate layer from the locations that are good for portrait shoots. I try to update the permit information as accurately and as often as I can, but you are responsible for ensuring you are photographing legally at all times. Guides to the National Parks are $100, and Guides to other regions, towns, or hotspots are $75.
