Transgender and Queer Elopement in the Rocky Mountains
Transgender and Queer Elopement in the Rocky Mountains
Wow, wow and more wow – the gayest booking I’ve ever had was Noa (they/them) and Chloe’s (She/her) transgender and queer elopement at the end of September. Trust me, I mean that as a huge compliment – they’ve won! I’m so excited to bring the highlights of their day to my blog and share their romantic, sword-infused, steeped-in-style LGBTQ elopement in the only way I know how: with killer photos!
The Gayest Elopement Photos Ever
Everything was so delightfully capital G Gay, it was like a candy store for a photographer like me. I’m pansexual myself and always happy to celebrate The Gays (Here is my LGBTQ elopement history to prove it). And maaaan were they gay. Noa left off every email with “So cute, so gay.” Their guests were their polyamorous lovers, and their tattoo artist was their witness. Chloe gifted her new spouse with a longsword and double daggers as a wedding present. Their ceremony, officiated by Noa’s rabbi, included a Tallit Chuppah for them, seven blessings (with an additional blessing for extra extraness) and a triumphant breaking of the glass. Mazel Tov!!
Their Transgender and Queer Elopement Photos
Noa wanted epic mountain backgrounds, Chloe wanted to not freeze her t*ts off. But luckily, I know all the best easy-access spots in Rocky Mountain National Park to achieve both goals. So after a delightfully sweet first look at their Airbnb cabin (that had us all tearing up), we toured several gorgeous locations within RMNP. We had the most beautiful and hot September day and the golden aspen groves were peaking. It was an absolute dream to photograph them at their best. My sides still hurt from laughing about all the shenanigans and ass-grabbing that we got up to. Truly, I get to work with the very best people and I’m so very grateful for it.
Their gay, queer and transgender elopement style
There was so much style at this elopement, it was borderline overwhelming. Chloe’s custom bridal gown was altered to have a green underlining and green lace up back to match. The strapless style showed off her colorful tattoos and her.. best assets. A leaf pattern on her veil completed her fairytale look. She loved twirling in her swishy dress. That joy and gender euphoria is unmatched. Noa paired their tailored forest green 3 piece suit with a sentimental watch, sword earrings, purple and gold embroidered boots, and a rainbow headscarf. But they are not going to stop at one head accessory – their bright gold felt hat suited them perfectly as well. Together, they certainly knew what to wear.
Congratulations a million times over to the newlywed spouses. I’ve loved every part of being your photographer!
