Sapphire Point Winter Engagement Photos
Davis & Chris’s Sapphire Point Winter Engagement Photos
Wow, wow, wow!! Are you kidding me?? Chris and Davis got Sapphire Point winter Engagement photos and these photos are insane!! When a couple goes ALL IN for their winter engagement session, it pays off! Davis & Chris met me at sunrise after a fresh dusting of snow over the gore range for their engagement photos at Sapphire Point. Because this is one of the most popular spots in the state, going early in the day is the perfect way to get that secluded, private feeling surrounded by the best mountain views in Colorado. Shooting in Summit County with the mountains of Breckenridge in the background was the perfect way to tie in their engagement photos to their Silverthorne Pavilion wedding next June.
The Perfect Winter Engagement Photo Location
When the dawn light crept down over the peaks and reflected in lake Dillon, the air was perfectly still and it was a truly magical sight. You can see the joy on their faces as they laughed and smooched and practically froze together throughout the shoot! I love engagement sessions that allow me to connect with my couples out in the wild, and these two kept me laughing all morning. We used a combination of natural light and creative flash to bring out the colors in the landscape, as well as a few double exposures and tiny planet worlds. An outfit change provided a good opportunity to warm up in the car halfway through- Davis’s red dress was stunning, but maybe not the warmest 🙂 Then early sunshine washed over us and they slow danced in a field of tiny evergreens – truly the whole experience was a photographer’s dream and it was hard to stop shooting once we were “done”. Looking forward to hanging out all day with these two, their family and friends, and another bucketload of mountain views next year! These Colorado mountain engagement photos are STUNNING – enjoy these highlights, and I hope you guys love these as much as I loved taking them! -Lucy
