Jenny & Andrew’s Sapphire Point Elopement Photos

Hold on to your lower jaws – Jenny and Andrew’s beautiful and colorful Sapphire Point Elopement photos are here! And – because these dreamboats chose the most beautiful September day, their photos are stunning! You’ll never meet a more chill couple, either. They showed up with grins on their faces that never left. Before the ceremony, we started with some epic mountain portraits in this stunning location. And dang- I’m about ready to hang these on MY walls! The simple ceremony suited them perfectly. A handful of close family and friends were there to bear witness to the start of the couple’s marriage.

Their September Elopement Style

Andrew wore a bold blue suit and white trainers – accessorized with sunnies. I love a good colorful suit! Jenny turned heads in glam heels and a sparkly lace strapless gown with a sexy thigh high slit. A classic white and greenery bouquet and half up half down hair completed her lewk. Of course, she switched to white sneaks that matched her husbands’ after the ceremony. They really couldn’t take their eyes off each other for the entire afternoon. Boy, that makes my job easy as pie! The couple’s dog – or really, fur child – Vincenzo Lorenzo the dachshund stole the shoe with his bow-wow bow tie.

Their Elopement Ceremony at Sapphire Point

The short trail leading from the parking lot to the overlook ceremony site is forested and beautiful. Jenny and her mom walked down hand in hand, which was perfect for this off-road bride. Their guests gathered around and put their arms around each other to watch the ceremony. The mother of the bride sweetly read a few passages that she wished for their marriage. Truthfully, most of what she said was about how much she loved Andrew. She went on and on about the definition of “nice” – something I can certainly attest that Andrew embodies. I live for that sweet sh*t! The brilliant blue sky shone down on them as they sealed their marriage with a very picturesque first kiss.

How to Elope at Sapphire Point

Sapphire Point is one of the most popular Colorado elopement locations, and you’ll soon see why! The mountain views and easy access by a short trail are a rare combination. There has been much confusion in the last 2 years from the ranger district that manages the site for ceremonies. Now, you can (and must!) reserve the sapphire point overlook for your elopement here. But, there are tons more amazing places around Lake Dillon and Summit County with similar views. I’ve detailed all of those here! Trust me, it’s worth checking these out!

After Elopement Hike

These Coloradoans wanted the seclusion that only a hike can bring for their post-elopement activity. We chose to explore the shoreline of Lake Dillon – the central gemstone of Summit County. The sunshine that we’d enjoyed for their ceremony soon disappeared. That means moody skies – and we found a clump of colorful peak aspens for them to canoodle in. The shoreline here is rocky and dotted with cliffs and colorful shrubs. It actually reminded me of coastal Maine for a moment! To cap it all off, the newlyweds stood on the edge and faced the lake, threw their arms up and declared themselves married!! Congratulations you two!!
