Cat birth photos go viral!

My cat birth photos go viral!

Oh boy. My cat birth photos have gone viral, and now I meet people who have seen these most revealing photos of me. But, I have always been a crazy cat lady, so I can’t say that it bothers me. My friend and fellow photographer Elizabeth Collgray took these photos for me at my request. Having photographed a few human births before, we knew exactly the poses and angles we wanted to recreate. I pitched this idea to her before I’d even adopted my little furball. And like a true friend, she didn’t balk or even seem surprised. “We may have to dampen the cat.” she said, “for authenticity.”

When I saw the photos that she captured of my then-boyfriend and I, I was just blown away. I knew I had to share the hilarity of her images with everyone. Originally, I was just going to use these photos to share with my own family and friends, and I posted them in a private post on facebook. After many comments from friends, I made the post ‘public’ and went to bed. Oh man, when I woke up, it was another world. Fans and trolls alike had taken to the comments – currently there are over 63,000 comments. Mostly I was ridiculed for having hairy legs. I became an unwilling hero in a Childfree by Choice fb group, where the members defended my choice not to shave. I even had an appearance on Denver 9 news.

Crazy Cat Lady Photographer

I wear this crown with pride. And over the years, I’ve been able to photograph many other great cat-enthused couples. This couple’s engagement photos with cats embodies the sillyness that cat lovers have for their smallest family members. And this couple brought their cat to their winter mansion elopement. This couple in Eastern california brought their cats and dogs to their elopement too!
