Winter Wild Basin Lodge Elopement

Winter Wild Basin Lodge Elopement

Buckle up for a huge beautiful winter wild basin lodge elopement blog post! If you’ve ever considered a winter elopement in Colorado, this post is for you! The cozy lodge in Allenspark, Colorado was folded into a pocket of blizzard magic for these two earlier this winter. Their intimate ceremony took place at the river run site just steps away from Rocky Mountain National Park. Crisp white snow coated the aspens on the St. Vrain’s riverbanks on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. Huge flakes pelted down around them at their outdoor winter wild basin lodge elopement. Amanda & Nick laughed through their entire crazy blizzard ceremony. Declaring their love for each other never looked so fun!

The Details

The stunning modern seven-sided ceremony arch really popped against the white out snowstorm. It was adorned with deep wine red blooms, white hydrangeas, and wisps of wintery twigs. A background of greenery with the florals proves that winter weddings can be just as colorful as any other season! If you are looking for an intimate wedding location in Colorado, definitely check out the River Run site at the Wild Basin Lodge! Nick’s navy suit and green tie complimented the jewel toned-look, and Amanda’s lace wedding gown had blush undertones that tied into her bouquet’s lightest roses. Cranberries kept the moody dark color pallette and added texture.

The Spirit of a Wild Basin Lodge Elopement

After the ceremony, the couple created custom cocktails at the bar in front of the grand fireplace. This is where the flexibility of an elopement really pays off, as they could relax, drink and just talk for as long as they wanted to! The fresh, modern dining room at the lodge was adorned with natural mountain themed touches. Antlers paired with candles, a bird’s nest, birch bark and silver twig installations rising towards the ceiling brought the vision to life. Candles of various heights flanked the head table, draped in a rich blue cloth and laden with more colorful blooms. The newlyweds cut the snow-dusted (er, confectioner’s sugar) cake, and now they have all these gorgeous elopement photos to share with their families and friends!
