Lakewood Colorado Elopement At Belmar Park

Kylie & Shaun’s Lakewood Colorado Elopement at Belmar Park

Everything about this Lakewood Colorado elopement was juuuuuuust right. It was incredibly personal, heartfelt, laid back and totally beautiful. Kylie and Shaun have always been bewitched with each other, and now they are also entwined. Kylie wore a stunning grey gown and made her own tiny top hat & beil combo. Shaun showed up in a colorful patterned shirt and purple tie. On the winter solstice, they planned a simple elopement at Belmar Park in Lakewood. They chose a small dock overlooking the lake for their lakewood elopement ceremony. After signing the marriage license, they merrily went to Snooze for brunch. They opened sweet gifts and ate beignets until the cows came home. My favorite moment was when we were the last ones left in the diner, and the newlywed’s song came on the radio. Because they are expert partner dancers, the pair got up and had their first dance in the dining room. It was totally unplanned, which made it all the more special! It’s one reason I love being a Denver elopement photographer. Enjoy these highlights from their surprise winter elopement!

They made their own wedding rings- out of their vows. Um, have you heard of something more adorable?!

Kylie also made the boutonniere and her flowers- of paper, feathers, pinecones, cedar and dusted winter berries. She is jaw droppingly beautiful in her grey gown and homemade tiny top hat veil.

As they spoke their vows to each other on the small dock, everyone welled up with tears of joy.

So much love, bacon & beignets to you both. Thank you for giving me the honor of crafting your story and being your elopement photographer.
