Cat & Derek’s Colorado Mountain Engagement Photos
Buckle up, this post is a wild and beautiful ride up Poudre Canyon and into the rockies for Colorado mountain engagement photos you will love! I spent the afternoon with two amazing and joyful people who couldn’t have made my job any easier. Cat & Derek told me they wanted engagement and wedding photos that capture nature’s beauty as much as possible. Hello! That’s my jam. They wanted a spring session, but weren’t totally against having some snow either. It’s a good thing they were open to it, because as we kept heading higher we got colder and colder. Right at twilight, we were engulfed in a sudden snow squall. Well. WE NAILED IT! Keep scrolling to see them romancing and giggling in a huge variety of mountain scenes in this epic Colorado engagement session!
Nothing makes a tiny planet better than a big Colorado blue sky! Love this one!
(Above) We set the time on Derek’s custom engagement watch to their wedding date- 5:29 baby! And from then on the temperature sank, the wind picked up and we even found ourselves in a white out blizzard at the very end. All of the following photos were taken with two very cold and patient clients – but they kept each other warm and braved the elements for the stunning images they knew they wanted!
Congratulations, Cat & Derek! I cannot wait to photograph your Wild Basin Lodge wedding next year!
